Kerry Thomas

Kerry Thomas is Headteacher of Dunvant Primary School in Swansea. Kerry has been in post for six years. She is also a seconded School Improvement Adviser for a cluster of schools within Swansea. Kerry moved back to Wales seven years ago, having previously been Headteacher in Kings Hill School in Kent and was the Lead Challenge Adviser for primary schools in Swansea for two years before taking up her current post. Kerry is passionate about primary education as a whole and has been very fortunate in her career to work with inspirational leaders, who have given her excellent opportunities to develop as a professional. Developing leaders both within her own setting and across the city of Swansea is one of her key roles and she has led Aspiring Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher training and network meetings for the city and region. Within her own school, Kerry has developed a CPD pathway for staff at all levels.
