Emma works in the Further Education sector as Head of Faculty for A Levels and Skills at Pembrokeshire College. Prior to returning home to Pembrokeshire and moving into FE, Emma worked in secondary schools in England as Head of Department and Head of Sixth Form.
Emma feels passionately that academic literature and action research should inform decision-making in education to drive improvement. Her previous involvement in the National Post-16 Enquiry Project and completion of her MSc in the Psychology of Education has shaped her work to date. Emma is excited to have the opportunity as an Associate to develop as a leader, to further collaborate with colleagues, and to inform practice across Wales.
Emma lives in a small village in South Pembrokeshire with her partner and two dogs. Emma enjoys walking, kayaking, reading, and has recently discovered a love for trying to grow her own fruit and vegetables.
