Dawn is Flintshire’s advisor for post 16 and represents Flintshire on the NE Wales Adult Community Learning Partnership, overseeing the strategic planning for the Partnership. Dawn has worked in the secondary sector for 20 years, 11 years at the senior leadership level. She has held several roles including six years as a headteacher and two years as a leadership advisor in South-East Asia. She moved into adult community learning in 2017. She is passionate about inclusion and committed to continuous professional learning.
Dawn is looking forward to working with other colleagues as part of the Associate programme, collaborating and learning to further enhance system leadership, using research and evidence to inform future improvement planning at this very exciting time for adult community learning.
Dawn is married to Alan; she has two daughters and a very bouncy labradoodle called Cooper. They enjoy travelling together and in the summer of 2022 Dawn and her eldest daughter walked the Camino de Santiago Portuguese route. In her spare time Dawn enjoys Mui Thai and running.
