Nick Allen

Nick Allen is headteacher of Saundersfoot Community Primary School. A product of Pembrokeshire, Nick has been teaching since 1997 with the last twelve as Headteacher.  Nick’s leadership has been described as strong and thoughtful, and he has been consistent in his expectations in the school’s improvement journey.  

Nick is currently part of the Partneriaeth Stakeholder Group, the Welsh Government Personalised Assessments Learner Experiences Working Group and a trained Estyn Inspector.   

As an Associate, Nick is looking forward to the exciting journey and developments that lay ahead, he is eager to collaborate with innovative and forward-thinking  professionals across Wales and industries. Nick hopes to inspire future leaders and those in education by supporting their innovation and creativity that enables education system development.   

Nick has recently completed reading dog training with his dog ‘Blue’, and they love their afternoon reading sessions in school. Blue also attends staff meetings and is a valuable member of the team.  When time allows, Nick can be found wandering the links of Tenby Golf Club recounting yesteryear and his semi professional rugby days, much to his two daughters’ (Seren and Nel) despair.
