“Holding a leadership role in a school is an exciting challenge and I am very aware of the responsibility that all leaders have to engage in professional development so that we can ensure the best possible experience for the learners in our schools. As a result, I have undertaken various leadership programmes throughout my career and am keen to support others and contribute to the education system in Wales.
I am very excited to be an Associate of the National Academy for Educational Leadership. I am very keen to learn from other leaders in Wales and beyond so that I can improve the provision for the learners at my school and contribute to the continuous improvement of education practice at a local and national level.”
Owain is married to Bethan, and they are parents to young twins, Osian and Sara. They enjoy exploring some of Wales’s family cycle routes and visiting their families.
