Gareth Key

Gareth joined the National Academy for Educational Leadership as a Business Support Officer in September 2022. He works across the organisation supporting the Head of Operations in the planning and delivery of key projects. He is also responsible for liaising with key stakeholders on behalf of the senior team and establishing strong working relationships.

Gareth has worked in a number of industries in the public and private sectors including leisure, hospitality, financial services, transport and education. Gareth was previously employed at Qualifications Wales and most recently with the Welsh Language Commissioner before arriving at the National Academy for Educational Leadership.

Gareth is a keen sportsman having played rugby and swum competitively from a young age, lately he has caught the triathlon bug and has just completed Ironman Wales. When he’s not swimming/cycling/running around South Wales he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sport and travelling.
