Chris Lewis

Dr Chris Lewis leads on policy, research and strategic development. He established the Insight Series which features research commissions, reviews of international policy and academic literatures and opinion pieces. Chris would like to see the Leadership Academy become a key organisation supporting and engaging all educational leaders across Wales.

​​​​Chris was previously Head of Education for the British Council in Wales, where he led on a programme of work to build international links for the higher, vocational and schools education sectors in Wales.

​​​​Chris has a background in applied social science research. He was Research Development Manager at Swansea University 2010-2014, having received a doctorate in Public Policy from the institution in 2009. ​​​​During his time as a research student, Chris spent a number of years as a part time teaching assistant in Cwm Primary School in Swansea, working one-to-one with children with additional learning needs.
