Charlotte Thomas
Charlotte Thomas joined the Leadership Academy as Communications Manager in August 2020. She works across the organisation leading on all print and digital communications and marketing. Charlotte has been instrumental in evolving the Leadership Academy’s brand and visual identity, implementing this across the organisation. She also played a key role in the development of the new website.
Charlotte enjoys working with the Leadership Academy team, creating campaigns and graphics, and devising new and exciting ways of sharing the organisations work. Her aspirations for the Leadership Academy, is for it to become an instantly recognisable brand both within Wales and internationally.
Charlotte specialises in digital marketing and communications and has a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Charlotte is also an Associate member of the CIM. She has a BA (Hons.) degree from Cardiff University and an MA from Swansea University in Modern History, focusing on 20th century social Welsh History. Her love of history inspired her passion for storytelling and communications. Charlotte previously worked in the visual arts and cultural sector, working across Wales and the UK on marketing, communications, and audience development.
Charlotte lives in Swansea and during her free time can be found open water scuba diving, both in the UK and abroad. Her most dramatic diving experience happened in Varadero, Cuba where she had an unfortunate encounter with fire coral – a type of jellyfish. She is also working towards her black belt in kickboxing.
