Catrin Coulthard
Catrin Coulthard is the headteacher of Calon y Cymoedd Welsh Primary School in Bridgend. Catrin has led numeracy across Central South Consortium (CSC) and had a special opportunity to be part of planning the new curriculum as an innovative school.
Catrin has enjoyed and benefited from attending the National Academy for Educational Leadership’s events such as Leadership Unlocked and Head-To-Head. These sessions provided Catrin with the opportunity to discuss with leaders from across Wales and take ideas from leaders beyond the world of education and has contributed to her professional development.
“I am looking forward to being an Associate and having opportunities to learn and collaborate with leaders from all parts of Wales and be challenged to think differently. My aspirations are for the National Academy for Educational Leadership to be recognised throughout Wales as a quality organisation that supports leadership, collaboration and schools as learning organisations.”
Catrin loves spending time with her family and watching her sons play rugby along with the Six Nations. Catrin also enjoys going to the leisure centre to keep fit!
