Well-being of Educational Leaders Conference

Wednesday 27 November 10am-3:15pm
The Parkgate Hotel, Westgate Street, Cardiff, CF10 1DA

The National Academy for Educational Leadership Wales is delighted to announce its first in-person Well-being of Educational Leaders Conference.

Our ambition is to ensure that the well-being of leaders is prioritised and systematically supported, creating a sustainable and resilient leadership workforce capable of being a key driver of lasting, systemic change. This conference is an opportunity to share our work in this area, celebrate the progress that has been made and continue to keep the well-being of educational leaders at the forefront of discussions.

The conference will include:

  • A presentation by Dr Kevin Palmer (Deputy Director, Pedagogy, Leadership and Professional Learning, Welsh Government)
  • An in-conversation panel exploring how to support leaders well-being
  • A presentation by Professor Michael West CBE (Professor of Work and Organisational Psychology at Lancaster University, Visiting Professor at University College, Dublin, and Emeritus Professor at Aston University)

This event is open to senior leaders currently working in Wales in schools, youth work sector organisations (maintained and voluntary) and organisations delivering post compulsory education and training.

Registration essential.
