Sharing Practice – Supporting Headteacher Well-being

The National Academy for Educational Leadership Wales held its first in-person Well-being of Educational Leaders Conference at the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff on Wednesday 27 November.

Our ambition is to ensure that the well-being of leaders is prioritised and systematically supported, creating a sustainable and resilient leadership workforce capable of being a key driver of lasting, systemic change. This conference was an opportunity to share our work in this area, celebrate the progress that has been made and continue to keep the well-being of educational leaders at the forefront of discussions.

This panel discussion featured:

  • Maggie Farrar, CEO, Empowering Leadership
  • Faye McGuinness, Director of Programmes, Education Support
  • Russ Dwyer, Headteacher, St Thomas Community Primary School
