This is a Tri Nations Collaboration between Education Scotland, the National Academy for Educational Leadership in Wales and Oide Leadership in Ireland. It is aimed at all school leaders and educational stakeholders.

Santiago will focus on the pedagogical core of our work as educators, on what we mean by learning, and on how we can keep this core purpose to the fore of our work in an ever-changing educational environment.

Dr Santiago Rincón-Gallardo

Dr Santiago Rincón-Gallardo’s purpose is to help young people and adults rediscover and ignite the power to learn. He is an education consultant and a key member of Michael Fullan’s international team. Through his work, he supports leaders and educators to liberate learning in education systems in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Australia.  Santiago’s work in Mexican public schools located in historically marginalized communities is renowned. His most recent book, Liberating Learning: Educational Change as a Social Movement won the Outstanding Book of the Year Award from the American Association of Teaching and Curriculum in 2021.Santiago holds a doctorate in Educational Policy, Leadership, and Instructional Practice from Harvard University and is a visiting scholar and professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. He currently resides in Toronto with his wife and two children.
