Bridging Futures: Educational Leadership in Youth Work and Schools for the Curriculum for Wales

The National Academy for Educational Leadership commissioned an Insight Series paper exploring the collaborative roles of Youth Workers and School Leaders in delivering the Curriculum for Wales. This study highlights how blending formal, non-formal, and informal education enhances student outcomes. It also provides key recommendations for educational leaders and policymakers on adopting a systems leadership approach to the Curriculum for Wales implementation. Through a literature review and focus groups with Youth Workers and School Leaders and young people, the research emphasises the value of youth work in education and calls for stronger integration within the system.
