Title of endorsed provision: New and Acting Headteacher Development Programme

We applied for endorsement from the National Academy for Educational Leadership for our New and Acting Headteachers Development Programme. The programme has been running since September 2018 and it is now delivering to its third cohort of participants.

We applied for the programme to be endorsed as it is part of the national leadership pathway. The guidance available for the application process was clear and sequential and all dates were given for the process and the stages in advance. By following the clear guidance, the process was easy.

We applied for endorsement so that our programme was badged by the Leadership Academy and offers the opportunity to feature on the organisation’s website and to be shared through its contacts. It was important to us to receive endorsement so that future participants can see that our provision has been through a rigorous quality assurance process and, as a result, is of a high standard.

We are looking forward to having more of our programmes endorsed by the Leadership Academy and have recently submitted an application for the endorsement of our Senior Leader Development Programme.
