Associate

Rhian Milton is Head of School at Cadoxton Primary School in Barry. Rhian’s experience includes roles such as Curriculum Professional Learning Pioneer (2017-2020), Lead enquirer for Central South Consortium (2019-2021), National Network Facilitator and Initial Teacher Education Lead School with University of Wales Trinity St David.

As an Associate Rhian is looking forward to contributing to the development of future leaders in and across Wales through the co-creation of high-quality, innovative professional learning, giving a voice to leaders and sharing successes within a self-improving system and putting the well-being of school leaders at the heart of all we do. Rhian’s aspiration for the National Academy for Educational Leadership is that the organisation continues to learn with and from leaders outside of the education system to develop creative and innovative approaches that enable system change.

Rhian is passionate about her own health and well-being and is motivated by being active, running and laughing. She describes herself as imperfect and believes in developing good people as well as good learners. Rhian is a morning person who truly believes in the power of a Miracle Morning and the time and space this can give you personally and professionally. She loves food, the beach and travel. Rhian has two daughters and a cat called Waffles and loves being around children and the joy they bring in their brutal honesty and love for life.
