Dr John De Nobile is an associate professor in education at the Macquarie University School of Education in Sydney, Australia. He teaches in the postgraduate educational leadership programs and has supervised many research degree candidates. He also does substantial work in the undergraduate and graduate teacher education programs, where much of his teaching concerns classroom and behaviour management. His main research interests are educational leadership and organisational behaviour. His most recent work has involved investigations into the role of middle leaders in Australian and Scottish schools. Dr De Nobile has published two books and more than sixty research papers on topics ranging from educational leadership, teacher job satisfaction and stress, leader and staff communication and whole school behaviour management. Prior to his time at Macquarie University, A/Prof. De Nobile taught in primary schools and served in the capacities of primary coordinator, deputy principal and acting principal.
