Gareth Evans

Having previously held Senior Leadership roles in Ysgol y Preseli, Pembrokeshire, Gareth’s substantive post currently Deputy Headteacher at Ysgol Bro Teifi, a 3-19 Welsh Medium all-through school in Llandysul, Ceredigion and has held that role since April 2016. Since January 2022 he has held the post of Acting Headteacher at the school.

He is a member of the Aberystwyth Initial Teacher Education Partnership’s Strategic and Accountability board and is also a Lead Mentor for a cluster of schools within this Partnership.  He was previously a member of the Estyn/OECD Working Group working on developing a national self-evaluation and improvement planning toolkit which is now the National Evaluation and Improvement Resource.

He is a member of the Wales All-age Schools Forum, a partnership of schools working collaboratively to further their understanding of the all-through sector in Wales and to share good practice in leadership and pedagogy.

He lives in Llangrannog, West Wales, with his wife and three children.
