Noel Fitzgerald

Associate Federation

Noel Fitzgerald is headteacher of Ysgol Pen Coch in Flint. Noel has been teaching since 1994 and his previous roles include deputy headteacher of Ysgol Maes Hyfryd (2015-2019) and assistant headteacher of Foxfield School (2007-2014). Noel has been involved in a number of national projects such as the National Professional Enquiry Project (NPEP) and the Lead Creative School Scheme with Arts Council of Wales.

As an Associate Noel is looking forward to representing the special sector in Wales, developing creative leadership in education, and working to support the leaders of the future. He is eager to work with creative, forward-thinking colleagues who are committed to improving leadership in education. Noel’s aspiration is for the National Academy for Educational Leadership to be recognised as the go to organisation for leadership in all aspects of education in Wales.

“I am hoping to promote the work of the National Academy for Educational Leadership across the special school sector.”

Noel enjoys running, dog walking, watching Everton Football Club and studying philosophy. He is currently saving for a Jet Ski.
