Sarah Coombes is headteacher of Llanishen Fach Primary School in Cardiff. She leads both a pioneer school and a professional learning hub for Central South Consortium (CSC) and sits on the delegate headteacher board, contributing to the consortiums self-improving system’s strategy and direction. Sarah has also co-constructed programmes as part of the professional learning model and delivers on leadership programmes for CSC.
In her role as an Academy Associate, Sarah has represented the Leadership Academy in seminars, conferences and during international visits and co-authored the commission report with cohort 2.
Sarah is passionate about professional learning, which she considers a priority and is fully committed to developing staff professionally. Sarah has a strong distributed leadership style with has a proven track record in supporting schools through tailoring bespoke programmes of support to raise standards and improve leadership capacity at all levels.
