Richard Hatwood is headteacher of Ysgol yr Holl Saint – All Saints’ School which is a Church in Wales Primary School located in the village of Gresford in Wrexham, North Wales.
He has a wealth of leadership experience at both a school and local authority level. Prior to becoming a headteacher Richard was an Inclusion Officer in Denbighshire County Council and supported the implementation of the Additional Learning Needs reforms.
Richard engages in a variety of collaborative activities to support school improvement, including being a Lead in the Open University Wales PGCE Programme, representing his cluster on the Local Authority Primary Headteacher Federation and also engaging in school improvement projects with colleagues in other local authorities.
In another capacity, Richard is a member of the Editorial Board for the Primary Geography Journal and has provided school improvement support to a number of schools and clusters with a focus on creating an enquiry culture and developing geographical knowledge and skills.
