Louise Williams

Associate

Louise Williams is headteacher of St Mary’s CIW VA School in Wrexham. Her previous roles include headteacher at Gwernymynydd CP School (2012-2017) and deputy headteacher at Sandycroft CP School (2005-2012). Louise is a member of the Wrexham Primary Headteacher Federation and was awarded Headteacher of the Year 2016.

Louise wants to be an ambassador for the National Academy for Educational Leadership and introduce colleagues in Wrexham to the organisations work. In her role as an Associate Louise would like to influence future decisions and policies at a national level and make connections with leaders and academics from across Wales and internationally.

“I look forward to meeting new people from a range of backgrounds and being involved in learning and research and high-quality professional development.”

Louise loves to read and to escape into a book, to escape and discover a different time or place.  She enjoys travelling, especially to warmer climates and likes to walk and get out into nature as often as possible, especially by the sea and one day she hopes to live within walking distance of the Welsh coast. Louise lives with her two children, two cats and husband.
