Clive Williams

Clive Williams is headteacher of Ysgol Gymraeg Aberystwyth and has over 20 years’ experience as a headteacher. He is also an experienced school adviser, Estyn Peer Inspector and provides support for four schools in Ceredigion, supporting them to raise standards and improve leadership.

As an Associate in cohort 1 Clive led on the delivery of the commission roadshows and international symposia across Wales. Along with fellow Associate, Christine Jackson, Clive designed and facilitated online learning experiences for cohort 3. He also regularly contributes to Head-To-Head, the Leadership Academy’s weekly well-being space for headteachers. Clive is passionate about leadership and feels that robust leadership is the most effective method of ensuring the best possible standards and provision. He would like to see the Leadership Academy to become the ‘go to’ place for relevant research and evidence-based practice for all educational leaders in Wales.
