Christine Jackson is headteacher of Glasllwch Primary School in Newport. She has experience as an Estyn Peer Inspector and is a mentor to newly appointed and acting headteachers across the local authority and the Education Achievement Service (EAS).
As an Associate, Christine has heavily involved in the development of new Associates. She was part of a team which delivered professional learning experiences to cohort 2 and also designed an online learning experience programme for cohort 3 with fellow Associate, Clive Williams, who were unable to meet face-to-face due to lockdown restrictions throughout their first year. She has also contributed to international events with colleagues in Education Scotland and the Centre for School Leadership, Ireland and has participated in the Leadership Academy’s endorsement panel. Christine has a keen interest in leadership and enjoys the opportunity to work with other leaders across Wales.
Christine enjoys singing in a choir and walking her children’s dogs. Her party trick is that she can play any tune on the recorder without music – off the top of her head!
